From Golden we have incredible heli hiking a short distance from town in both the Rockies and Purcell mountains. Our morning flight leaves from Golden around 9 am, and we will hike for 3-6 hours depending on your interest. We focus on meadow hikes, wildflowers, alpine lakes, and beautiful ridge walks.
We meet at the Alpine helicopters “heli base” at the Golden airport. where we start our adventure. Your guide and pilot will give you a briefing about how to manage yourself around the helicopter, and what to expect for the day.
Half day hikes are 2.5 hours, and full day hikes about 5 hours. We’ll take time to enjoy and photograph wildflowers and the beautiful scenery.
